Britain's advertising watchdog found that the title of singer's new album clearly refers to an oath and the image links sexuality to a sacred symbol.

Polydor Records said it was artwork designed to promote the album and did not consider it offensive.The poster received four complaints. It was removed after four days.

The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) said it had received complaints about "images of Ms Lovato in a bandage-style dress lying on a mattress tied like a crucifix".

The singer was "tied to one side with her feet reminiscent of Christ on the cross," it added.Along with the album's title, which is a play on a swear word.

The ASA found that the poster "could be seen as a sacred symbol of crucifixion and crucifixion". It could cause serious offense to Christians.
