Downtown Louisville shooting leaves 5 dead, 8 injured in a Monday morning rampage at Old National Bank Building.

The usual morning rush hour in Louisville was interrupted by gunfire from the Old National Bank Building, leaving 5 dead and 8 injured.

Responding to emergency calls around 8:30 a.m., police arrived within minutes of being dispatched to exchange gunfire with 25-year-old Connor Sturgeon.

Sturgeon, who worked at the bank, carried out the attack with a rifle before being shot and killed by police.

Interim Chief Jacquelyn Gwinn-Villaroel said the gunman livestreamed the attack, but it is not yet clear how he obtained the weapon.
