John Cena appeared only once before the match and it was unclear if he would stay.

It was unlikely that he would win the title from Austin Theory at WrestleMania 39.

During Cena's entrance at WrestleMania 39, he was accompanied by children from Make-A-Wish Foundation. It was a nice moment.

Even though Cena had Make-A-Wish kids with him, it wasn't a guarantee he would win the match at WrestleMania 39.

Cena had a strong start but Theory fought dirty, biting his ear to gain an advantage.

He even escaped the STFU hold by biting Cena again. It was obvious that Theory was willing to do whatever it takes to win.

Cena did the Five Knuckle Shuffle, but Theory stopped him from doing the FU by grabbing the ropes. The referee got hit accidentally and fell down.
